Thomas Wilson Morgan

December 2, 1946 — June 11, 2025

New Westminster

Predeceased by parents, Thomas and Anne, and brother Andrew. Survived by former wife Pat, daughter Jennifer, brother Victor (Melissa) nieces Nicole and Hannah, sister-in-law Janet niece and nephew Colin and Karen, and companion Viola.

Tom immigrated to Canada from Scotland at the age of 2 with his family. From an early age Tom showed a keen interest in art. After graduation from High school Tom enrolled in Vancouver Art School and Vancouver Technical College where he learned the printing trade. Tom worked for the Powell River News and met his former wife Pat there. With the birth of daughter Jennifer the family spent many summers exploring the B.C. Coast. Over the years Tom pursued his love of the outdoors, attending car races with brother Andrew, Pitt Lake on his boat, cycling various routes in the lower mainland, the Artists group in New Westminster, and most of all painting the female form.

Tom had a successful exhibition at the Massey Gallery in 2019. Examples of his work can be seen on his website tom-morgan.pixels.com

Sadly, Tom was diagnosed with ALS in October 2024. His condition deteriorated rapidly and by June 2025 he chose MAID to end the suffering.

Tom had a quirky sense of humour. He was a Master McGiverer and always interested in what was going on around him. He will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched.

A celebration of Tom's will be held at a later date.
