Tina Mae Nipp, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2026, at the age of 90 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Born in Hoy Ping, China, Tina will be remembered for her kindness, selflessness, thoughtfulness, and generosity. She dedicated her life to her family, which was so important to her.
With her predeceased husband, Michael, they owned and operated a grocery store in Burnaby where they worked tirelessly to provide for their four children. Education was important to Tina as she wanted to give her children every opportunity to be successful in life by either going to college or other endeavors of their choosing.
As a mom, she prepared delicious Chinese meals for her family. She enjoyed celebrating the major holidays, flower arranging, gardening, and she loved to listen to music. Also, Tina enjoyed knitting and playing the piano.
Tina is survived by her four children: Evelyn, Leland, Roland, and Warren and their spouses, Steve, Susan, Corinne and Jill; her six grandchildren: Ashley, Lauren, Tamara, Emma, Dexter, and Vanessa and their spouses, Mitch, Ron, and Sam; and her five great grandchildren: Arayla, Nora, Jack, Jet, and Camryn.
The family would like to extend its sincere thanks to the staff at Amica Arbutus Manor for the exceptional care that they provided to Tina during the past three years. They would also like to thank Pacific Spirit Community Health Centre who helped so much during the past month.
