Tracey Marie Chepil

January 12, 1966 — August 17, 2025

New Westminster

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tracey Chepil born in Vancouver BC, who left us on August 17, 2025, at the age of 59. Surrounded by family and close friends in New Westminster, Tracey departed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and warmth.

Tracey was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was known for her deep affection for animals of all shapes and sizes and her playful humor and warm smile made even ordinary moments feel special.

She is survived by her devoted mother Lenore (Fred), her loving daughter Ashley, and her cherished grandchildren: Mercede, Braydon, and Adalynn. She also leaves behind her partner Richard, who stood by her side with unwavering love. Tracey was predeceased by her father, Les Chepil, and her grandparents, whose memories she held close to her heart.

Tracey had a deep love for animals and found joy in the simple beauty of flowers and plants. Her home was always filled with life, colour, and the comforting sounds of country music playing in the background. She had a special way with children, a nurturing spirit that made her a favorite among little ones and a cherished companion to her family.

She delighted in life’s pleasures—good food, long car rides, foot and back rubs, and cozy evenings watching movies or her favorite show, The Bachelor. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she made it magical for everyone around her with her infectious excitement and thoughtful touches.

Tracey found peace in nature, especially during walks with her dogs or soaking up the sun on boat rides. She had a creative eye and loved redecorating her home, shopping for gardening décor, and tending to her beloved plants. Her love for reading offered her quiet moments of reflection, and her laughter lit up every room she entered.

Above all, Tracey treasured time spent with friends and family. Her kindness, humor, and unwavering love will be remembered always.

She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, joy, and beauty. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

A celebration of Tracey’s life will be held on August 29, 2025 at 1:00pm, at Kearney Funeral Home in the Columbia-Bowell Chapel, located at 219 6th Street, New Westminster, BC V3L 3A3. All who knew and loved Tracey are welcome to attend and honor her memory.
