It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Dad, Nonno & Bisnonno, Vincenzo Di Tomaso.
Born in Civitanova del Sannio, Italy, Vincenzo came to Canada in December 1951, and he passed away peacefully 3 weeks shy of his 98th birthday.
He leaves his loving wife of 71 years, Palma, his children Domenic (Redenta), Joe, Rina (Douglas) and Fernanda (Walter), his nine loving grandchildren and six beautiful great grandchildren and extended loving family and friends. He will be dearly missed and forever loved.
The family would like to express they’re thanks to the VCH home care staff who helped take care of Vincenzo at home this past year and to the wonderful staff on the Burnaby General palliative care unit.
A viewing will take place Thursday, November 24th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Kearney Burnaby Chapel 4715 Hastings St. Burnaby.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 25th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish 555 Slocan St. Vancouver. Entombment will follow at Ocean View Burial Park, South Mausoleum, Burnaby.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in Vincenzo’s memory to the Burnaby Hospital Foundation.
